Located at Sokoji Temple in Fukui City, is the grave of one of Nobunaga's captains, Niwa Nagahide (1535-85). Nagahide was one of the original "Boys from Owari" and he served under Nobunaga at a young age. He was the son of Niwa Nagamasa. Nagahide was known to be a quiet, simple, and honest man. He played a pivotal role during Nobunaga's conquest of Mino at the Battle of Dobora Castle in 1565.

I really wish he got a bigger role in an adaptation for once. Poor guy is the eternal supporting character, even though he was one of Nobunaga's great generals. And his death is quite tragic.
He could be an interesting viewpoint character because the other Oda vassals who overshadow him are always involved in some drama while Niwa is just being competent and loyal.
There should be a drama about him. From a young boy serving Nobunaga until the conquest of Mino.
