This past weekend there was a memorial service for those who died at the Battle of Anegawa 1570. The combined forces of Oda Nobunaga and Tokugawa Ieyasu defeated the armies of Azai Nagamasa and Asakura Kagetake. Nobunaga's troops were placed near Nomura while Ieyasu's at Mita. At the memorial service, there were prayers and incense offerings near the war dead landmark near Nomura bridge.
