A spear that was supposed to be used by Yasuda Kunitsugu (1556-97) during the Honnoji Rebellion is on display at Karatsu Castle. Yasuda Kunitsugu was from Mino and served under Akechi Mitsuhide. He was known to have the first chance to attack Nobunaga at the Honnoji. Kirin ga Kuru drama has sparked interest about the relationship between Mitsuhide, Nobunaga, and the Honnoji. Interesting for sure and it definitely makes a good conversation with historians.
