Here is a short video on Nobunaga and tea utensils. Nobunaga Would often give his retainers tea utensils as spoils of war, as well as money and land.
For example, in early 1576, Nobunaga rewarded Niwa Nagahide a tea bowl. Nobunaga took it back in 1579 and in return gave Nagahide a sword.
Chronicle of Lord Nobunaga (p. 248)
"As the initial work was to his liking, he rewarded Gorozaemon (Niwa Nagahide) with one of the most famous objects of art from his own collection, a tea bowl that once belonged to Shuko--a happy event for Korezumi (Nagahide)."
