Nobunaga Armor

This is a picture of armor that Nobunaga might possibly have worn at the Battle of Okehazama.  The armor is known as Konito odoshi tomaru and it is now located at Kenkun Jinjia (Takeisao Shrine) in Kyoto. As you can see, the armor is still in decent condition, which is good news in itself.  The shrine also has the Samonji sword that Imagawa Yoshimoto had at the Battle of Okehazama and a copy of Ota Gyuichi's Shincho-Ko ki.  For those who like to take a dip, the Funaoka Onsen is very close by as well.

Nobunaga no tame!

Ooh, that's a beautiful armor. It's not ruined at all! It still looks very good. The craftsmen of that time must be really good XD

Speaking of which... Do you have any suggestions for where to look for if I want to find info about Sengoku-era technology? I want to know just what technology are available to the people of the time and how much influence did the Europeans have on the people (if at all).

There is a great book by Thomas Conlan called Weapons&Fighting Techniques of the Samurai Warrior 1200-1877. It is a coffee table book with tons of pictures, but it contains a lot of valuable in formation. Highly recommend the book because Conlan is one of the better samurai historians out there.

Hmm, what about technology in daily life? Not just the weapons, but things like farming/building tools, cooking tools and all that?

Everyday Things in Premodern Japan by Susan B. Hanley is another great book. It covers a lot of the material culture.
