Gifu Shinbum Interview
While in Japan earlier this month, I was fortunate to have an interview with Gifu Shinbum. The interview lasted for about an hour or so talking about my new Battle of Okehazama novel, my time at Gifu University (2000-1), and Nobunaga and Gifu. I enjoyed every moment of the interview. Many thanks to Masako Kawai who helped set up this interview. The Managing Editor of the paper, Mr. Kiriyama Keiji was a nice man and was happy that someone who loves Gifu and Nobunaga. Also special thanks to Ms. Oga Yukiko who interviewed me.

Ikeda Tsuneoki's Grave
Ikeda Tsuneoki (1536-84) Grave located at Gifu Prefecture Ibi-bun Ikeda-cho.
Tsuneoki's father, Tsunetoshi served under Nobunaga's father, Oda Nobuhide. As for Tsuneoki, he was probably born near Arako Village in Owari in 1536. His mother Yotokuin, was Nobunaga's wet nurse. Tsuneoki was Nobunaga's half-brother and participated in battles such as Kayastu Ino, Ukino, and Okehazama. He was one of the original "Boys from Owari."
