Nobunaga Podcast

The Samurai Archives has an excellent podcast on Nobunaga.  It is over a hour long with many topics that are discussed.  Here are some of the key topics that were discussed on the podcast.

  1. Tyrant/Hero
  2. Very complex, broke the mold, and unorthodox
  3. Other Sengoku daimyo looked inward, Nobunaga looked outward.  How can Japan play in the outer world.
  4. Small discussion on the history of the Oda family.
  5. Battle of Okehazama, Nobunagaesque.
  6. His character
  7. Political history/warfare
There were many more topics that were discussed on the podcast.  I highly recommend that you listen because you can learn a lot from the podcast.  Here is the link to the podcast:

Is there a way to download this podcast, by any chance?

I also found your comment interesting. So Nobunaga would be "Tenkajin" instead of shogun, you say? What kind of role or position does a "tenkajin" have? It's not the emperor, but that's also not a shogun.

Do you think if Nobunaga had survived he would have started a government system that is different from the shogunate? I'm not that much familiar of Nobunaga outside his battles and such.
