Movies

I just ordered three movies and plan to see them next week.

The three ordered movies:

The Conspirator
Tokugawa Ieyasu and his Three Ladies
Akechi Mitsuhide: The Man God Hated

I must admit I am truly looking forward to seeing Akechi Mitsuhide: The Man God Hated. What I heard from the grapevine was that the movies is a must see. I plan to write a review of the movie. Also I am in the middle of planning a trip back to Japan in early September. As always, my trip is centered on Nobunaga.

Tenka no tame!

"The Conspirator" is the movie about Matsudaira Nobuyasu..? If that's so, I hope you'll enjoy it, I heard it's a little gem.
It has one of the most ruthless seppuku scenes ever.

--I'm curious on the Mitsuhide movie too; I'm curious to see what interpretation they'll give to Mitsuhide's betrayal.
I'm looking forward to your review!

(and the post about Nobunaga's pages, of course XD)

The Conspirartor is a good movie. The Akechi Mitsuhide movie is ok. What I hate about the movie was that Nobunaga was so dull, stiff, ad lifeless. That was so wrong.

--I was afraid of this-- Since it's a movie about Mitsuhide it's obvious that the other characters -expecially Nobunaga-sama- had to be treated as marginal-- Bah, just think of Kagemusha-- There the protagonist was Takeda, and he was portrayed awesomely, but also Nobunaga and Ieyasu got some great acting. Nobunaga was memorable there...

I agree. Mitsuhide loved his family very much and the movie did point ot several of his faults. Mitsuhide at times look unsure about himself. The movie did show the horror of Mt. Hiei.

At least the actor who played Nobunaga was young and trim. Old farts should never play the role of Nobunaga. Old farts can play the role of Ieyasu. Sorry. One must remember that he was a ladies man and a beautiful man as well.

Ahah, but Ieyasu was younger than Nobunaga XD
Anyway, I agree with you... But I'm kinda biased on the subject
