2015 Okehazama Report

I am finally back in San Diego after spending almost three weeks in Japan.  For those who want to know, the 2015 Arimatsu Okehazama festival was a huge success.  I was able to participate in the military parade due to Mr. Yukio Kajino and Hideyasu.  It was a blast even though the weather was very hot that day.

There was a ceremony to start the day with Yoshimoto's grave.  About more than 40 people participated in this event.  Afterwards there were many booths with maps an relics related to the battle as well as a tour of the battlefield.  Mr. Okehazama (Wataru Kajino) spoke at Chofukuji Temple in great detail about the Battle of Okehazama.  In the end, it was a great experience and would love to participate again in the near future.

It was an awesome experience. Thank God for my military training though. It was hot and humid. I was part of a gun boat unit in the Navy and had to wear body armor in the heat. Great training!

I guess so!
When I saw the reenacting of some battles during the Nagoya Matsuri, the speaker explained that the partecipants were all from the police or army, as to bear the weight of the armour and move around like that specific training was required!
