Nobuhide Facts

Here are some facts on Nobunaga's father, Oda Nobuhide.

• In 1540, Nobuhide contributed money for the construction of the Outer shrine in Ise.
• For his efforts, he was granted the title of Bingo no Kami.
• in 1543, Nobuhide donated large sums of money for the Imperial Palace in Kyoto.
• For his efforts, he received a letter from Emperor Go-Nara and a copy of the first part of the Kokin Wakashu, poetry from the Heian Era.

During the early part of the 1540s, Nobuhide was fighting against the Imagawa in western Mikawa and soon would be fighting against Saito Dosan.
